Elite or Senior A athletes are Australia’s best rowers. Each year they form the basis of the National team selected to compete at the Senior World Championships or, every four years, the Olympic Games.
(Under 23) Athletes may compete as an Under 23 athlete until the 31st of December in the year they turn 22 years old. Under 23 teams form an integral part of the development pathway of Australia’s elite Senior A team.
Note — The Event Requirements and Nomination Form must be read in conjunction with the National Selection Policy.
Event Requirements
Each Event Requirements will include information and material considered relevant by RA to the particular Event, and will generally include the time, date and manner for Participants to nominate for consideration under the Selection Policy to the National Team for the Event. Any special considerations will also be detailed in the Requirements.
Each Event Requirements shall form part of the Selection Policy and shall bind each Athlete and coach that nominates for consideration for selection to the National Team for the Event and RA may issue the Event Requirements wholly or partially by way of updates or bulletins.
