Innovation was the foundation of the company and today Sykes Racing works closely with coaches, athletes and National Teams as well as a unique collaborative team of outside specialists to develop the winning designs which are evident in our latest developments. Our design partners bring further experience and modern technology to test and enhance already successful designs and well as create new ones.
Sykes Racing is proud to be sponsoring Rowing Australia and the Under 23 and Junior Australian Rowing Teams. These teams will compete in a fleet of thirteen Sykes boats whilst overseas training and competing over the next four years . This will heavily reduce the expense of competition tours for these developing athletes.
Sykes Racing is committed to supporting the Australian Rowing community. This initiative adds to ongoing national initiatives such as the NTID Breaking the Drought program. In this program, a Sykes Honeycomb Carbon Single Scull is awarded to the school of the winning School Boy and School Girl Champion Single Sculler at the Australian National Rowing Championships. The increase in participation in these events during the past few years has been very encouraging and some of the successful athletes have already advanced into National Teams at Junior level.
